Wadi Salaita is one of Jordan’s most scenic and exciting natural canyons — perfect for those seeking a real wilderness adventure without technical ropes or high drops.
This full-day experience combines hiking, swimming, jumping, and sliding through a narrow sandstone gorge filled with natural pools, cascades, and jungle-like vegetation. The trail is roughly 3 kilometers long, flowing with water most of the year and surrounded by dramatic cliffs and lush canyon walls.
You’ll scramble over boulders, wade through streams, and leap into clear water — all with the support of an experienced guide. While the route doesn’t involve rappelling, it still demands agility, confidence in water, and good physical fitness.
It’s a true off-the-beaten-path experience. If you’ve done Wadi Mujib and want something wilder, greener, and less crowded, Wadi Salaita is the canyon to explore.
Not necessarily. Prior experience helps, but it's not required. However, you should be fit, confident in water, and ready for an 8-meter guided rappel down a waterfall. Our guides will teach you what you need to know.
Yes. There’s one rappel of about 8 meters, typically done in a wet section. We provide gear and full guidance to make it safe and exciting.
The route includes hiking, swimming, boulder scrambling, natural slides, and pool jumps. The canyon is lush, rugged, and remote — more wild than most commercial trails.
Wadi Salaita is approximately 3 kilometers long, and the experience usually takes 3-4 hours in the canyon, depending on group pace and water levels.
